Shashi is proud to have several fabulous musicians gracing her CD with their talents. David Schepps embraces the melodies and lyrics with his resonating 18th century cello; Dan Teck plays glittering lead acoustic guitar; Jan Wright's Native American flute sweetens each refrain; Jeff Rapp echoes the heart of Mother Earth on his drums; Michael O'Meara adds richness and texture with awesome bass. TAKE A LISTEN: Sound of a Face clip - I wrote the words to this song as a poem first, and 2 years later I was just noodling around on the guitar and wham -- this beautiful melody just popped out of nowhere. They've been happily married ever since. Juniper Baby Clip - When I wrote this song I was climbing a red mesa in northern New Mexico, underneath a pretty hot sun. I found this little juniper tree and huddled under it, catching as much sweet shade as I could. As I rested there, this song came to me. A lively mix of drums and percussion.I Still Care Clip - Ok, I know you've been here, too. It's when you know you can't be with a certain person, but you still care deeply for them. Little bit sad, little bit hopeful, little slice of life. This song features David Schepps on cello. ORDER CD's:

I was blown away by a book I read, The Legacy of Luna, by Julia Butterfly Hill, who tells her incredible story of sitting up in an ancient redwood tree for 2 years. Her amazing courage and emotional connection with the tree moved me deeply, so I wrote this song about her journey.
This is a story about a crazy chick who put her guitar in her car one day and just started driving. Yeah, it was me.
I feel so grateful for my mother. A rose that I could keep coming back to amid the thorns of my life.
I wrote this about my one of my guitar heroes, Tommy Emmanuel.
I met a magical being on the top of Mount Shasta a few years ago and came home to New Mexico and wrote this song about him. He told me some things about my past, present and future. He gave me back a part of my myself and my dreams that I had lost along the way somewhere. I played this song at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and was caught on camera.
Most of my songs have words, but sometimes you don't need them to say what you want to convey. I wrote this song on my son's birthday. He taught me about peace.
A few days after my good friend, Michael, unexpectedly passed on, I wrote this song. He will always live in my heart.
